  7. SMART ╤ SAC Mission Analysis Research Toolset ╤ is a Motif-based graphical tool
  8. set designed for satellite mission analysis. It provides an analyst with the
  9. capability to create displays using a variety of map projections, databases,
  10. and resolutions. The analyst may select and display mission data records from a
  11. commercial relational database management system (Version 1.0 uses ORACLE
  12. RDBMS; future versions will support additional RDBMS). In addition, the user
  13. may plot satellite traces (ground traces on maps and orbit traces around
  14. globes), payload footprints, and satellite coverage swaths. Because this
  15. software contains a relational database interface, it can easily be integrated
  16. with existing software to provide the analyst with the ability to graphically
  17. study anything from simple satellite coverage analysis up through detailed
  18. resource allocation simulations.
